Al, is there usually lots of room in Horley station car park say 07:30 ?

I am beginning to think there are more options by taking this route, rather than becoming locked into the mo-way with no alternatives.

If ..... £2 train x 5 = £10 + £5 park = £15 total .. A bargain !
I shall investigate further.

7.30 is pretty much the busy time train wise that gets them into london about 8.15 so parking would probably still be avalable assuming your talking a weekday morning!!!

another option is drop them off at gatwick then park at horley and save even more
because your in the london area you can only get day returns or singles no period returns
and because its before 9.30 you cant get a cheap day return all assuming its a week day morning and not a bank holiday

OK.

Park at heathrow, fly to gatwick ( there used to be helicopter shuttle service )

yep your right :D :D :D

it must have finnished about 25 years ago

Go into Crawley town centre and park in Asda's car park. Only £1 for 2 hours! It's about 15 minutes away from the airport if you come in round the back, the road that runs parallel with Perimeter Road South. and if you spend a fiver in 'Chavdas' you'll get yer pound back

Job done !
Thankfully, plane landed safely in Minnesota 07:36 BST.
Leaving me with another empty wallet !

Gatwick.
The backroute M25 J8 - A217 Reigate - Hookwood was good.. used short stay multi stoey at S terminal, easy and not too expensive for the non regular user.
The extra security checks were being removed as we arrived.
