Im building a gazebo at the weekend, flat roof with tongue and groove on the top with 100 x 50mm joists. Should i put joist hangers in or just screw the joists direct to the frame. Tongue and groove is going on top with rubber roof.
 
I'd forget the joist hangers for what it is. 2 screws (1 either side of joist) at 45deg will be sufficient. could add a few noggins to keep the joists square.
