GE Potscrubber 900 - detergent lid not closing

Hello everyone:

I have tried every possible dial position. But the detergent lid for GE Potscrubber is not locking.

I saw the posting below. But these were posted 2 years back and it does not offer any solution.

Wondering if there exists any solution to this problem. I would welcome any tip that could lead to fixing this problem.
