Gearbox Oil ???

Hi, I have got a second hand gearbox which my friend said he would fit next weekend, Does anybody know 1, How much oil it will take? 2 Another friend has said TRX75 is a very good oil so has anyone got any suggestions please ?

I don't know how much oil it takes specifically, but 3 litres is a fair guess.
The filler plug acts as a level plug on these.
TRX will suit this fine.

Just double check the spec if you can as some modern filled for life gearboxes use some unusual oils that are a bit awkward to get hold of.
Replacing with something that does not meet the specs can cause problems.
Not saying that applies to yours but worth checking.
