Hi
I have a medical condition and am highly sensitive to chemicals, fumes etc. I am thinking of putting some used laminate down and if I react to it, then I'll probably replace it with tiles.
I currently have floorboards which are quite uneven. If I put laminate:
1) Should I put fibreboard underlay or plywood. Why choose one over the other?
2) How thick must the plywood be e.g. 6mm or 9mm and so on. Is bigger always better and what will the difference be?
3)In case I later change to tile, in this case perhaps its better to start off with plywood? In this case, how thick should it be and will what will the main difference be in size.
Thanks
