Get rid of specific weed

So I have the attached weeds growing in my garden. As quick as I dig one out another one grows.

What is this specific type of weed and any advice on getting rid of them without damaging surrounding plants? They have no leaves so can't spray conventional weed killer on them.

Let it develop some leaves then apply something such as 'Roundup' gel directly to the leaves.

Do you mean the green stalk thing at the back? It looks like a bracken shoot. Do you neighbour a public path or countryside?

You should treat it now with a woody type weedkiller like 'roundup tree and stump killer' while it is still small you can paint it on.
