I'm having some cabling replaced later this week, but I need to plan the logistics. The shower cable and immersion cable need replacing (one because it's been badly wired, the other because I have the opportunity now and it will complete the re-wiring).

Providing it is electrically safe I would like to have the shower and immersion cables travel from the CU (ground floor near ceiling) along the floor space (through joists) between ground/1st (2.5m) up the back corner of a fitted wardrobe in trunking (say 25x50mm). It will be in a corner formed by two solid walls. This then enters the crawl space one side of a converted loft and travel 2.8m to the shower isolator (shower cable), or about 4m to drop down next to the immersion in it's cupboard (not part of bathroom). In both cases the cables will take the shortest route possible from the CU (shorter than current situation).

The cables will be 10mm2 shower and 2.5mm2 immersion. The cables will be 10m and 12m respectively, the loads are 9.5kw@240v and 3kw@240v. Both (in fact all circuits) RCD protected.

Will an electrician be happy to do this (or a minor alteration), or will I have to find and alternative route. It would not be possible to pull new cable through the old route as both cables have convoluted paths through inaccessible brickwork.

As an aside, the reason I'm getting the shower cable upgraded is that I thought it was bad that it was 6mm2 for a 9.5kw shower (which is allowed if clipped free) but this runs in an insulated partition wall for a short section - and best of all has a join - which I found last night while clearing the way for a plumber - using a brown (30A??) junction box.
