Hi All,

I hope I'm posting in the correct spot (and the answer has not already been covered and I've just missed it), we have just had a kitchen merged with dining room, one of which had floorboards and one of which had quarry tiles on a concrete floor. At it's deepest point (not evenly) there is about 3-4mm difference between the two floor levels. We have purchased vinyl flooring to go over the top, and now need to figure out the best way to level the floor (I know what you're thinking this is the wrong way around, but we're new to all of this).

We have been advised that just plying over the whole lot is probably the best method of leveling it out, but I was wondering if anyone had had similar experiences, and if so whether you would fit the ply yourselves? or bring in a professional?

Thanks for any advice you are able to provide,
Andy

Andy..........

You have "purchased vinyl" - but what did THEY advise you to do with your floor in preparation?

If your "info" is correct then your floor needs levelling.....

..........how tight is money?

...........how "correct" do you want the job to be?

Please answer the above and then we can help
