Getting rid of garden gravel via Facebook Marketplace - What has your experience been like?

Collect all pre-stamped envelopes from junk mail, fill a box at the time with stones, tape the envelope to the box and take it to the post office.

Have you had much luck doing this? Especially if the stones are 'dirty'?

Thoroughly clean a bucket of them and take a good photo in the sunshine with a pretty background. Write in the text “this is what they look like when cleaned up”.

I’ve given stuff away on Freecycle in the past. It is very hit-or-miss, but mostly miss. Often eBay with a price of £1 has been more successful (though beware of buyers who don’t see the “collection only” part and want you to ship it to Stornaway).

Some of the more effective groups (online or offline) are very local. Ask friends / neighbours.
