The bearing surfaces to me seem inadequate, at full capacity I'm sure the tool would break unless the item you were undiong was very loose.

The first spanner looks good in theory, but I'll bet thats as far as it goes - I'd avoid buying this.
The second one is a 'C' spanner - used for tightening nuts without flats i.e the nut, usually round, has slots that the spanner peg locates into.
An example used to be push bike crank nuts and small motorbike adjustable rear suspension units.
