hi ive built a wall and i have lefta space for 2 rows of glass blocks to fit into it. what i want to find out is how to get the best finish between the glass block and the plaster board so its ready for skim. any suggestions

It really depends on your blocks are they exactly flush with the plasterboard or are they set back slightly.

Either way its best if you can skim before you put the glass blocks in as the blocks have to be set with a special mortar and sealed.

I did this between my bedroom and internal bathroom.

Now it all depends on how thick your wall is (with board, skim etc) and how thick your blocks are.

If like mine the blocks are thinner u have to make a desicion as to where u want to centralise your blocks.

I made mine flush in the bedroom and then they are stepped in in the bathroom. If u get flat bead so the plasterer has soemthing to skim too and cut exact round your blocks etc. I bedded mine on the proper glass block adheisive/grout but raked it back from the joints so after all messy plastering was done i could put in some clean and nice and white grout. I actually used normal tileing grout so i could get a smoother finish.

hope that helps if not ill dig some pics out
