Glass veranda

I want to build a glass veranda outside my kitchen.
What is the minimum pitch I can use and
Is it better to use laminated glass or toughened glass (I'm getting different views from different glaziers)

You can use annealed, toughened and laminated glass of suitable thickness for structural work but if its the actual floor I would go with laminated, if it should fail the lamination will hold your weight for long enough to get back into the house.
