Gledhill Gulfstream 2000 Sp

This 6 year old boiler has started to supply hot water with fluctuating between about 40begC and over 70degC. The diagnostic test using its own Appliance Control Board says the Plate heat Exchange snsor is faulty. i can't find this as a listed part. Does this sound like the likely fault and does anyone know how easy a fix this is/
