Gledhill Pulsacoil cylinder

Is anyone familiar with Gledhill’s Pulasacoil hot water cylinder?
If yes, why is an 11” stat specified. What is the implication of using an immersion heater with say a 7” stat?

I suppose the 7 inch stat won't heat up the water in the stat as quickly as the 11 inch stat
