Hi All,

Wondering if I could ask advice from the experts.

Her indoors wants the house painting again, but I refuse to use gloss anymore. I was told to just lightly sand the glossed areas and paint over with Acrylic egg shell.. and this sounds like a much better idea!

Issue is our walls have been painted in Silk due to the kids etc.. will that look daft ? Silk on the walls and eggshell on the skirting and sills?

Use satin on woodwork?
Also always better to use an undercoat.

Definitely use undercoat on old oil gloss. A good waterbased adhesion primer
