GLOW WORM 100e Hot Water

Looking for a bit of advise guys because, I am at my wits end with my Glow Worm 100e comby boiler. The problem is my hot water isn't getting to temp for absolutely ages and stays luke warm. Eventually when I do get heat with the water running at a trickle it then stops of and the water goes cold.

The engineer has changed the temp sensor and checked the gas valve. He has suggested the PCB board might need replacing after a telephone diagnostics with Glow Worm on the phone. As you all know this is a pricey spare on a boiler that is already 9 years old. Does anyone have any more suggestions???

If you are talking about the Compact 100e, it is easy to check the pcb. When you remove the cover look for scorching in the bottom middle of it.
If so the board is cream crackered.

Otherwise it may be a blocked plate heat exchanger another pricey part and a pig to check or change.

Yes it is the 100e Glow Worm bolier.

He thinks the heat exchanger is ok he has shown me that the gas flame isn't getting to the right height when the cover was off.

Boards on these are notorious for causing hot water fault ,gas valve does not get correct voltage to open enough to heat water and they dont always have scorching evidence the board is kaput.
Try a fixed price repair from BG probably cheaper than the part

Get yourself someone else...this "engineer's" a clown.

As mentioned the most common fault is low burner pressure due to a pcb fault. However, a few other basic checks should be done first.

If you don't trust the judgment of this one, get another. But as it seems he has found the problem, albeit a bit late, he is due some lollie.
