Hi, only been in this property a few months, the house/boiler is 14 years old and has recently had the fan replaced by previous owner. I had a problem a month back and was told it was the airpressure switch which was replaced. All good until a week ago with same steady red Reset light on.
Turned off at the isolator no joy, but I did open up the front panel and wiggle the connectors I could see and lo and behold it now works! I should add that my previous house had the 30FF boiler and I had many issues with that which went through 3 replacement pcbsbefore it gave up after about 8 years.
So, reading these forums I can see many problems with this model and changing the pcbmay not fix the root cause.
May I just ask though, a lot of posts say that changing the pcb. necessitates changing the thermistor as well? Just wondering why if anyone can explain please?
I was just wondering if it was worth spending money replacing bits when there are many possible causes and it may be easier - before winter arrives - to simply replace the boiler for around 2k.
Thanks for any ideas.
