Glow Worm Micron 40ff

Hi there,

I have a Glow Worm Micron 40FF boiler which is currently playing up.

My heating wont come on but I have plenty of hot water though.

After following the troubleshooting section in the manual I have the following:

LED 1 (Reset) is slow flashing green, LED 2 (Burner Lit) is off.

Also I noticed that is not fire up correctly...well is trying quite few times to fire then the reset indicator light is up and the burner light is eventually on but not longer than a 2-3 min and then whole cycle starts again.


Can not see above error sequence on LED fault coding list as is just the reset LED flashing (slow) and no other light on.

Can anyone help please?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If the boiler fires correctly for hot water, then I would suspect your boiler is ok, and that the fault is elsewhere on your system. Possibly a zone valve not operating correctly when heating is called for.

Could be a failed pump and you have some gravity circulation on the hot water side. Or your water is being heated by an immersion heater.
