Hi there,

I have a Glow Worm Micron 40FF boiler, fitted in 2003 in a new-build property.

The unit is displaying a 'Software Error' LED Fault Coding (LED 1 (Reset) is on, LED 2 (Burner Lit) is slow flashing (2Hz)).

I tried switching the unit off (Control Knob at '0', and Power off at isolation switch) then starting it up again 24 hours later, but the problem persisted.

Does this mean the PCB needs to be replaced?

If the PCB (Part No. 2000227134) needs to be replaced, has it been replaced by an updated part? If so, what is the new PCB part number I need to purchase?

Is it necessary to replace the thermistor if the PCB is replaced? Some of the posts on the forum state that it is necessary.

Thanks in advance,

Stuart

The thermistor is RGI territory.

Put the boiler in the hands of a decent rgi who can repair it on a no fix no charge basis.

Thanks for the reply Paul,

Can you clarify a something for me please?

Is the thermisor causing the 'Software Error' LED Fault Coding and I just need to get the thermistor replaced and not the PCB? It's just there is an LED Fault Coding specifically relating to the thermistor.

Cheers,

Stuart

I dont know without testing it. A decent RGI will test it for you.

Paul.
