Hi fellas.

I have a two year old Glow Worm Micron 40FF boiler in my house that has just given up the ghost.
Typical it should be a weekend and bloody freezing......the kids are already running around with icicles on thier noses...

It seems like it is trying to fire but never actually gets there.

Any help appreciated,

PCB and thermistors are notorious for failing on these.

PCB's are on sale on eBay a lot cheaper than elsewhere.

You can get the thermistor from part centre.

Could be something else as you haven't explained in much depth.

Loads of stuff to read about it on here. Do a search.

Hi Statia..

Not much more to tell...

When I turn on the demand there the fan runs then the boiler tries to fire but doesn't. And this continues....

Are the re-con PCB's on ebay worth trying?

thanks for the help

if the fan is definately running then it could be the APS but should really be investigated by an RGI

Sorry, to hijack the thread, but have a similar problem, in my new house with my gloworm micron 40ff......

It's meant to be self igniting but it seems the pilot light wont turn on. It's absolutely freezing, any one tell me how i can get it back on?
