30/04/07 - Safety Notice: Glow-worm Micron Wall Hung Gas Boilers

Important Safety Notice
Glow-worm Micron Wall Hung Gas Boilers
During ongoing quality inspection procedures it has been discovered that a manufacturing defect may be present in the following Glow-worm Micron boiler models manufactured between 25th October 2006 and 12th April 2007:
Glow-worm Micron 40FF, 50FF, 60FF, 100FF, 120FF
The defect does not become apparent until installation of the boiler when in some circumstances a component can leak gas when the boiler is running.
If you have had one of these Glow-worm Micron boilers installed in your home after 25th October 2006 please urgently call our free helpline below to arrange for an engineer to carry out a free of charge safety inspection of your boiler. If you smell gas, immediately switch off the boiler before calling the helpline.

You will find the boiler model on a sticker on the top left of the area underneath the drop down flap as illustrated
You will be asked for your boiler type and model when you phone, so please have these to hand. They can be found as shown in the images above. You will also be asked for the date of installation of your boiler. If you are uncertain of your installation date, please refer to the installation documents provided with your boiler.
