Glow Worm Ultimate 40FF Boiler

The small plastic fan that sits on top of the motor shaft has gone brittle and fallen apart. A local supplier tells me that this was common and new fan motors come without this fan .
Can anyone confirm this and can I leave it as it is - ie fanless ? It seems to be running fine at the moment

This is a cooling fan for the fan motor they are availale seperate without it fitted it may cause premature failure

Is this a GlowWorm or a pattern part ? Places I'd phoned told me it wasn't available separately. Can you recommend a supplier ?

You can run the fan without. If you are that worried then you can ring glowworn and they will send you a replacement. I have done this and there was no charge.

It definitely has a part number seperately on the baxi solo pf, but I really wouldn't bother.

The fan motor is the original - 9 years old ( forgot how old it was ) I think I'll leave it till /if it fails .Running fine at the moment
