The boiler fails to light and after following the fault finding guide (LED 3 not lit) it leads me to the air pressure switch. It is giving off a strange buzzing noise so presumably knackered. Anyway, I took the front off the boiler to check the plastic pipes leading to the switch and half a small plastic fan dropped out along with a dead beetle. The small fan should sit on top of the main fan assembly for cooling??? (maybe) . As it has been working fine without it, is it important enough to need replacing?
I undid the air pressure switch mounting screws and now the boiler works and the led comes on and no buzzing but I guess it needs replacing .........Is this a common problem?
Cheers
