gloworm 18hxi heatexchanger swap

Hi,
I am dealing with a problem in a 2008 gloworm 18hxi. It works, and the house gets warm. But not as quick as it used to, and it does that on/off/on/off/on thing when the flow in the exchanger is knackered, and it is trying not to overheat. I appreciate it is old and so whole replacement is not a wild option, but not sure I want to do that: every quote I have had so far says i need to change much more of the whole system than I really want to.

Yes it does need a little further work, but not just yet. I want to get the heat exchanger swapped for now. Has anyone done this and are there any goto places for this?

Any Gas Safe Registered engineer should be able to replace the heat exchanger for you, but it is an expensive job to do. Alternatively Glow-worm's own engineers may be able to do it if they'll work on a boiler that old https://www.glow-worm.co.uk/homeowner/repairs-and-servicing/boiler-repair/
