gloworm back boiler

I have an old gloworm back boiler and when the heating or hot water is on it keeps firing up and the cutting out straight away and reapeats this a number of times it does not do this all the time but is becoming more frequent any ideas

as like the 54/4 has a pcb. earlier versions perm pilot.

it has a permanent pilot light
