Can anyone help please.

i've just bought a house which has a 10 year old gloworm combi boiler. It seems to be losing a little pressure and i need to keep topping up the system. I have repressured the vessel and it holds 1 bar also fit a new auto air vent to it. Because i am "gutting" the house i have been able to lift the flooring and visually check all the pipes and joints etc and there seems to be no leaks at all.

Any ideas???

Cheers

Dale.

it moves up about half a bar or maybe a little more.

Well that is normal. If you really cannot find the leak, it may be worth injecting some leak sealer into the system.

try taping a water tight bag round the prv pipe. it will fall off if anything major happens. but it will also prove if the prv it letting by. it is a cheap fix if the bag has water in. if the bag is empty and your still losing pressure check the auto air vent for leakage and check rad valves, include under the caps.
