Hi,
this boiler been losing pressure for a while and we just keep filling it occasionally, now there is water forming beneath it. It appears to be coming from the top of the air vent, there\\\'s lots of \\\"gunge\\\" around the vent which also suggests a leak.

Is it easy to replace? Will I need to empty the water from the system? HELP! I can see a silver U type clip which suggests removal of clip and air vent might be straitforward?
 
Its very straightforward but take the pressure out of the system first.
