Gents this one baffled all that I have asked.

The Compact 80e boiler in question wont light, intermittent fault I believe.

We have renewed the fan and the air switch in the gas chamber also cleaned all the air pipes in addition, unfortunately the fault still exists.

The boiler will only light when the chamber is cracked by releasing one of the safety catches. This then fires up the boiler and happy days for a while.
It may last a few hours, then again it refuses to light, and again the chamber has to be cracked.
Any suggestions would be of great help.

Cheers T-Hawk

Only a gas registered person should even open the combustion chamber!

For obvious reasons this forum does not allow gas advice to be given to DIYers!

Normal advice is to call a qualified engineer!
