can anyone tell me why when I put on the hot tap the pressure rises on my boiler.This is also vise versa,when the heating has been on and you run the hot tap the pressure drops.What part has gone?

THe Expansion Vessel needs recharging with compressed air (it's behind the boiler) - a red pancake shaped vessel - Schraeder valve on the top.
drain the heating cirucit so that the pressure is at Zero pump up with air to 1-00 Bar. if the air pressure won't hold at 1-00 Bar the vessel will need replacing which is a Gas Engineer job as the boiler has to come off the wall!
