Should a boiler be classified as ID/AR for low gas rate/pressure?

lol yep . Too be honest by time we had turned up usually within the hour the majority of custs had calmed down and would speak to us politely instead of how they had blown up at the person wanting to cut them off .

It's a stretch but if say the meter governor had collapsed and the boiler were barely working due to lack of gas which he could see, he wouldn't have needed to measure anything. That doesn't cover all he did/didn't do though!

Your best bet is to get someone else in, who is inindependent.

UPDATE: Independent Gas Safe engineer came. He said the valve just needed adjusting. He cleaned the burner and all good except an NCS given that the kitchen cabinet it sits in is slightly too small for the manufacturer's ventilation dimensions.

I've learned by lesson. Don't use PP and get an independent.

Sounds like they were after a boiler change out of you or highly inexperienced, adjusting a gas valve is as basic as it comes glad you have been sorted. Without spending ££££

Don't know, but the only effect in practice is gas flow and heat output about 90% of nominal.
