Hi
Have read that the F26 error can be caused by number of things. Do these symptoms help narrow down fault before calling a heating engineer.
Glowworm 18hxi. Three bedroom detached 90s build.
An old 20+ year system, some parts microbore but works tolerably well until the recent cold snaps when outdoor temps drop to around zero. The CH then trips out with F26 error. HW OK.
If turn off a couple of the larger radiators, the double in lounge and main bedroom the system is OK again through the cold weather.
The display temp on boiler when in the off cycle is notably higher around 40C with these rads off. With all rads on even after a heat cycle the display can drop below 20C.
Pump in airing cupboard set on max three.
Thanks
David
