Glowworm compact 60E half dead

Hello all,

About a week ago my glowworm compact 60E boiler stopped working flashing its red lockout light. After turning it off and on a couple of times the red light went away but then the demand light wouldn’t come on and the boiler would not fire.

I replaced the DHW microswitch which seemed that wasn’t working well but still the boiler won’t work. It comes ON alright but there is no demand light. When I turn the boiler on the demand light blinks but it’s just that.

What do you think? I would very much appreciate any help you could give.

does it fire up check this at gas meter and see if any dials turn

Hi,

The boiler does not fire at all. Actually the demand light does not go on at all. It only blinks when I turn the boiler on and stays off all the time.

And I indeed tried to follow the fault in the manual which took me to the microswitch. The DHW microswitch was indeed in need of replacement but now I have fitted a new one and the problem still persists.

From the manual:

Is mains L.E.D. illuminated.?

Yes

Demand L.E.D. illuminated? No -> Check flow switch operation.
