Glue for sticking badge into bonnet, any suggestions please?

I've got a 2003 mx5. The badge on the bonnet has no pins on it, they're broken and it had been glued on by the previous owner. The badge has now fallen off. Could anyone give me a recommendation for a great glue that would do the job please? The technicians in work recommended Double Bubble by loctite and gave me some but that only worked for a couple of days. Many thanks.

Most badges for cars are stuck on with double sided sticky tape.

Double sided tape , as used to hold in oven glass, heat resistant to 400 degrees .

I use the sticky both sides strips used to hold number plates on....available from any motor factors. The grip is incredible.
