What are the options for night-storage hot water cylinders?
Is "Gold Shield" the standard term for a well insulated vented cylinder with two immersion heaters?
I am thinking I could have the bottom immersion on cheap-rate with temperature set as high as possible (legal?). Have the top immersion on all the time at 45°C. Have a temperature-limiting thermostat (also set at 45°C) on tap feeds but not on Surrey flange to power shower and thermostatic mixer.
Is it OK to have both immersion heaters on at the same time? Or must the timer switch between them?
