Good old Greta

Maritime dunce chicken biker thinks 450 souls sailed along the Med' in two boats because he was glued to his free download tracker and a video still of some boats moored off the coast of Crete and completely missed the 42 boat flotilla setting sail on the 28/09/25.

Greta suckered him from the outset...

The decision to turn off the AIS was a deliberate tactic by the activists to make it harder for Israeli naval forces to track them, or at least some of them, on open-source vessel tracking sites. AIS systems are typically used for global real-time tracking of ships.
Despite this measure, the flotilla's progress was still monitored through other means, including live video feeds activated by the activists and potentially by naval vessels from other countries (such as Spain and Italy) that were monitoring the situation.
Ultimately, the Israeli Navy intercepted nearly all of the approximately 42 vessels in international waters between October 1-3, 2025. Activists onboard were detained and the boats were towed to an Israeli port.

Shmuck.
Nonsense, turning off their AIS prevents other smaller marine vessels from seeing them easily, the Naval vessels could still track them and see them without AIS. A silly move on their behalf and a dangerous thing to do.

Seeing them? Eh?
Yes the AIS displays their info about the vessel and its name, without AIS they don't see this information, they still see the vessel on their radar. The only thing turning off AIS does is to stop them being tracked via the free apps.

That sea captain's course seems to be paying dividends.

And?

You mean tracking them - goddit. What has the size of the vessel attempting to see them or track them, got do do with it?

I still don't understand why you are quoting me. I have already commented on how conspicuous a 42 boat flotilla is, regardless of AIS. It was chicken biker that was fooled, not me.

That will go over their heads
