I hope somebody can help. My laptop runs windows XP professional and I have AVG (paid for version) installed. When I use google the search part works fine, but when I click on the link I get redirected to other sites (always opening in a new window). The rest of the computer appears not to be affected in any way. I ran AVG to do a full scan and initially it found three threats and moved these to the virus vault. I rebooted the computer but the same thing happens when I use google. Running AVG again shows no threats found. Do I need another type of virus removal i.e adware or spyware etc.
