Government Surplus Online Auctions?

While driving yesterday, I think I heard a new article about a new government sales website... but when I got home and tried to track it down, I couldn't. This was direct sales, not via a retailer or fleabay.

Does anyone know if such a site exists?

What about house auction sites not see any of them or infomation on where they are held. Know any?
