I am looking at tiling my kitchen in 60 x 30 granite tiles 1cm thick. Will the standard Bal adhesive be ok with these, they are black in colour. Is there anything else i should consider? They are going onto screed floor.

You can use a spaecial rapid adhesive for porous tiles like granite marble and slate, but i found using unibond normal rapid set worked great for just over a tenner a bag .If the tiles are polished sealing may not be needed but a quick coat before laying and after will stop any grout entering the inperfections in the tile .Better be safe than sorry for £10 the cost of sealer for porous tiled floors
