Hi, I am building a Granite rubble wall with mortar and as this will be a weekends only project I am proposing to use premixed mortar in bags, I know this will be more expensive but it will be easier for me as I will only be able to complete smaller areas of wall at a time. I already have a block work retaining wall with drainage pipes and expamet mesh built in to tie my granite wall to the face of it. My question is does anyone have a good recommendation for premixed mortar (just add water type) that would work well with the granite and provides a good degree of consistency in colour etc. I am based in Aberdeenshire so frost is also a consideration.
