Grant combi 90 Boiler....The other problem

Another problem I have had on the grant combi 90 is this....

When the hot water is on and left on for a while (running a bath, etc) the heating comes on even if it is switched off. And when the heating forst comes on in the morning, the DHW is luke warm at best.

What would cause this, faulty diverter? This is an intermittent problem, but I would imagine that it will be a pain in the ar5e in the summer as it'll end up heating the house everytime I need hot water!

Don't know why the heating comes on, but the DHW will be cool in the morning as the heat for it is stored in the boiler. If you've just stolen the heat for the trivial luxury of heating the house, you have to replinish the heat in the boiler before the water is hot.

That's great. Can it be cleaned at all, or is it a straight replacement?

i dont know your particular valve but most diverter valves can be cleaned.use lubricant where required.
