Dear all (who know)

I have just had the above boiler installed and the engineer has dissapeared. The problem seems to be after fire up there is a heavy knocking noise coming from the combustion chamber. I have taken baffle plates out and reinstalled. There is a total of 6. Three either side and the one side seems to be looser than the other. i have taken them out twice now and reinstalled to no avail. This is a new build house so the system is brand new. i have been advised that kettling might be taking place can this happen on new systems or do you thin it is the baffles.(how can you generally tell)
Many Thanks

What do you mean this f**kin' b**t*rd disappeared? Was it a low cost job, how did you buy it? was it your supply, and "engineer" fit, or did you buy it supply and fit.? Did it get flushed after fitting? Has all the air been bled out of the boiler? How soon after starting does it bang?

If you need to talk to someone who knows lots about the problems the best place is Grant's technical department. I fit them, but I havent come across that problem.
