Gravel grids, worth it?

I’m doing gravel on my drive, within a border of block paving all round it. Got a well prepped and whackerd base, and going to put a geotextile membrane on top of it, stuck down with a load of cement/sbr slurry or whatever, to discourage it from exposing itself through the gravel. Gravels likely to be fairly large smooth stones, rather than anything fine and dusty.

Drive is on a very slight incline sloping towards house, but not much. Any views on whether those plastic/rubber grids are worth using? I’d prefer not to, for less cost and faff, and only got about 40-50mm depth to play with already set by the pavers border. Any opinions either way welcome…ta

They are very visible, so detract from the appearance of a gravel surface.

They are meant for a grass verge or suchlike where they are better than the alternative muddy mess.

Reason for using one would be to reduce chances of gravel being moved onto pavement by car I guess
