O/S is sticking a bit so I want to remove cable, take the metal pull arm, spring arm and seal off, then remove the caliper and tip it so the rear of the caliper is top then apply some lubricant so it runs down the handbrake spindle bore to free it.

Does Mannol aerosol white grease have a high enough temperature rating at 120oC for a brake caliper or should I be looking at a silicone lubricant.

These calipers are pretty well weather sealed so hopefully it may just be the cable......Ive found a replacement caliper is the way if its sticking.
Either way, the spray grease wont last too well there but theres nothing to stop you giving it a go!
John :)

Its the caliper. I took the cable off and the arm was sticking.

A bit of WD40 sprayed in and worked backwards and forwards is was free as a bird.

Tipped up with the brackets removed, I can drop some lube on the spindle so it runs down into the bore.

If its seizes again, as you say, a new caliper.

cheers!
