OK got a Greenstar 42CDI boiler that we had fitted around 5 years ago now, For some time now it has been randomly cutting out and throwing up the ea error message, generally when it does this i can restart the boiler with a quick push of the reset button. But occasionally i have to switch the whole thing off leave it for an hour or two the switch it back on and it will usually fire.
At the boilers last service (just before Christmas) The engineer replaced the spark electrodes as he thought they were worn and this could be the cause? But it has suffered the same problem twice since then. When the boiler cuts out you can usually hear the pumps still running and the igniter clicking trying to fire the boiler, but there is no light in the pilot light part of the front display when it does this.
Anyone have any clues what may be the cause?
Thnx
