I have a greenstar 24i,on a conventional system ,ie open and header tank, when the temp is turned up above half way I get the noises of kettling, system has been cleaned twice and is clean. As long as temp is kept down its ok. The noises occur after flame out ,ie ,on shut down and the blue light is quick flashing ,then set back ok.
Money is an issue,i am an ex electrician so pretty handy.is there any thing I can do.the system has been flushed 3 times, twice with sentinal800.was black but now runs clear.

on older systems it is common for the inlet to the heating system to block up. In this instance if the system is powerflushed, because the inlet feed should be blanked off it wont force any debris out of the inlet.

As a result this scenario can occur. If you have an air separator on your system and its blocked, it will create a kettle sort of noise as the expansion has no where to go. It is my advice to have this looked at or replaced.
