Reading through the forum it seems the best practice is to use white adhesive when installing light travertine.
I have some what I would describe is darkish travertine. On the box it has a 1 to 5 shade description and these are no.4 if that gives you an idea how dark they are.
They seem to me good quality tiles with hardly any holes in the back.

Whats the opinion of using a grey rapidset adhesive with these tiles.

Does the adhesive stop 'bleeding' through once it has dried.
I ask this as I am considering testing an offcut for staining.

Thanks.

Andy.

i'd suggest its not worth the risk, you can get bleed through on some tiles and not others, it depends on the properties of any ony particular tile.

of course on a dark trav you wont notice it as much, but for the difference in price of the adhesive (say £3 a bag) its not worth your worry
