Grohe Eurodisc Monobloc taps

Hi,

I have a Grohe Monobloc with 10mm crome tails. Can someone advise if I can use a normal 10mm x 15mm coupler reducer compression fitting with copper olives on this crome tail?

One other question: some people have told me to use PTFE with olives and others tell me it is not necessary and can mess up the connection. Which is correct?
