Grohe Toilet Mains Connection

Hi all,

I'm fitting a Grohe wall hung toilet and the little tap they supplied that sits between the mains and the fill valve is confusing me....

See the picture but it says in the manual "connect to the mains without a seal"

What connection do I need? I assumed I would connect the 2 with a normal flexible tap connector but the hard washer on the Grohe tap doesn't allow this.

It appears the brown o-ring is the seal? Not dealt with Grohe before.

The fitting goes into a 1/2" female thread. The bonded fibre washer then suffices to seal.

Intended for continental practice of concealed first fix pipework.
