Hi,

I am about to use the Dunlop Cement Based Wall Grout from Screwfix, however, the technical sheet says not suitable for power showers.

I have a shower fed by a 1.5bar pump. It is reasonably powerful but not excessive and the tiles will only be on the wall - will this product be suitable?

Thanks a lot,
Dave

Which one do you have? All the ones on this page say they are suitable:

Grouts would not be suitable for power showers as the volume of water would mean the grout doesn't dry out. But it largely depends on what the substrate you have tiled over is. If it has been tanked and/or is using cement backer boards then unless the shower is going to be used loads it should be ok.

If the grout wasn't water proof then it wouldn't be suitable for any shower.
