Grout

An epoxy grout is probably about the most effective you’ll get as it’s the only truly waterproof as opposed to water resistant grout you’ll find but is expensive & can be difficult to use for the inexperienced. I don’t generally use Epoxy & prefer BAL Microflex but any quality trade grout with antibacterial/fungal additives will do. Cheap DIY products are mostly inferior.

No grout is completely mould proof; life style is a big factor & lingering moisture & condensation are the breeding ground. Good ventilation, regular cleaning & squeegeeing down the shower walls after each use will reduce lime scale build up & mould growth, a real pain but very effective. A good clean with Cilit Bang & a tooth brush once every couple of months is all we do with our own showers. We have a couple & our bathroom shower is now around 8 years old with no permanent mould stains at all.
